We've been having an issue for over a year now that we don't have the resources to resolve.
Our Accounting department has decided they want to be "Paperless" so they print everything to PDF. They are all using Adobe Acrobat Version 11, with all the latest updates. They are printing from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains 2013 and from Microsoft Office 2013 (Mostly Excel and Outlook). 80% of the time the issue occurs when they are printing from Great Plains.
They print a lot of Reports. Every day, a lot of Reports. Multiple times a day the print to PDF function siezes up their computer and they are unable to continue working unless they reboot their computer. Killing the programs from task manager and restarting them does not help.
We have tried:
1: Uninstalling/Reinstalling Great Plains
2: Running a Repair on the Great Plains Install
3: Uninstalling/Reinstalling Microsoft Office
4: Running a repair of Microsoft Office
5: Installing a 64-bit version of Microsoft Office
6: uninstalling/Reinstalling Adobe Acrobat
7: Running a repair on Adobe Acrobat.
8: Issuing a brand new computer
This will work for them for about a day then it's right back to crashing, freezing, and rebooting.
All of our computers are Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64-bit with 8GB of RAM.
Processors are Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 @3.20GHz
I am not sure what else to do except to find another PDF printing program, but there doesn't appear to be anything "better" out there.
