Printing a pdf at 50%

New Here ,

I have a set of architectural drawings that are 22x34".  I want to print them half size on 11x17.  However when I say print to fit on a 11x17, it is not a true 50%.  When I select actual size, but change the scale to 50%, not all of the page prints.

  Help please!

Make sure you are not including crop marks or page info when printing, that will increase the overall size.

You might find it easier to place the PDF into an 11x17 Indesign file and export it to a new PDF, then print at 100%.

I have a similar issue, when I want o print my architectural drawings on 11*17,my machine keeps printing on 8.5*11 at with a 11*17 scale. I have a new Xerox copier. I have spoke to Xerox about this. They report  that the issues stems from Adobe.

I am not going to load a drawing into another program just to print on a different page size. Especially given that the feature is present in acrobat DC but doesn't work.

Scaling to a specific value needs support from the printer driver.

What you can do is to change the size of the PDF itself in Acrobat Pro > Print Production > Preflight.

There is a set to resize to A4, but you can open it and have a look, save as new preset and change to your needs.

Could you provide me with more information.  I am not a expert user of Acrobat.

I have accessed the preflight editor, but I do not see where I can change the paper size.

Thank you for your help!

Open Acrobat Pro

Go to the Print Production.

Open the Preflight Tool.

In the PDF FIx Ups (Corrections) is a preset to reszie a PDF to A4, open it to look, how they have done it. Make a copy and edit it to your needs.

Later click twice on such a preflight profile and it will run automatically.
