2007 vintage Sony Vaio laptop with Windows Vista.
Trying to reinstall Adobe Acrobat Pro, I get the message "Setup could not find an upgrade qualifying product installed on your system. Setup needs to verify that this upgrade product is licensed for installation on this system."
I deleted the old Creative Suites because I'm a subscriber to Creative Cloud. Didn't think I would need them and I need the space on my old computer. Latest version of Acrobat won't work on my laptop. But one of my registered versions, Acrobat 8, after submitting serial number, gives me that message. I also own CS5.5 but would have to reinstall the whole suite.
Tried calling support and he said to use this forum for help. Not impressed.
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer with my goal of reinstalling Acrobat.

Hi ,
As you are on Vista, the latest Acrobat version ,i.e DC would not work with it as it is an incompatible version.
You need to upgrade your Windows to 7,8 or 10 to run Acrobat DC.

You are long past the end of support. Acrobat 8, 9 and 10 are finished now.
In current versions you don't need to install the old software. You just need to enter the serial number of the qualifying product (old version). Though in current versions you also cannot upgrade from a suite to a single product. Anyway, is it asking for the serial of a qualifying product at all?

Hi ,
You get that message when you download an upgrade instead of the full desktop version.
There is no upgrade available from Acrobat 8 to DC.
Also DC is not a compatible version with Vista.

Thanks for all the responses. So what Acrobat version comes with Adobe Creative Suite Premium? I think that was a full version that I bought.
