"Use Adobe LiveCycle Designer". Why can't I use Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, which I've purchased?

I keep getting a popup that says i can't edit my document in Adobe Pro DC. And ideas why?

Because the file was created in LiveCycle Designer, so it can only be edited in that application. LCD used to be bundled with Acrobat Pro, but is no longer is. You now need to purchase it separately.
