Recently installed Acrobat DC and pop-up window is blank when browsing My Computer

Upon starting Adobe Acrobat  DC on my MAC, I select from HOME - My Computer - Browse.  There is a pop-up window that comes up, but it does not display the contents. I can click towards the middle bottom and a smaller pop-up comes up asking if I want Adobe PDF files or all files. If I select All files, I can double click within the original pop-up window and I will get a message stating that the file selected is not an Adobe file. From here I can close the empty pop-up.

Is the installation bad? I have checked for updates, but have the latest version and no updates are available.

Hi ,

It appears black if you open it with any other PDF ?

Try to restart your machine once and then relaunch Acrobat and see if that helps.

Nothing different. Rebooted many times and tried all the different options of what to do when the program opens. Dropped Acrobat DC and got Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and updated to the latest version.  Same issue. Can not see anything that is returned from browsing my computer.
