I wanted to know if it was possible, using the OCR capabilities of Acrobat, to copy hand written text from a PDF and paste it into a text document. All of my attempts have ended up with something like "l CJ C, (e yu,," when the name being copied is Luciene. If this is not possible through Acrobat, would you be able to recommend some software that has either OCR or ICR capable of doing this?
Thank you for reading.

Recognizing hand written text doesn't give good output in most of the cases because of fonts issue.
I doubt any software supports it with high accuracy.

An old issue since Palm, but software can be trained, and I'm happy with a 80/20 result.
Why? Although I'm totally digitally addicted, I take notes by hand on paper. I'll stick to that until screens get flat as a paper with same resistance. So until that is available by 25 it should be feasible to scan and OCR easily using my favourite Scan to PDF software.
Form Acrobat Pro pros I like to get directions on best Plugin. THX

Evernote is relatively successful at this, but requires that whole ecosystem

Actually I exaggerated. Evernote does the handwriting recognition reasonably good, enabling global search.
Howerver, if it can translate it to a copy/paste -able text string, I haven't figured that out yet.
