Saving email as PDF

New Here ,
Oct 18, 2016 Oct 18, 2016

I have a user that receives the error "Acrobat dc license has either expired or not been activated" when saving an email as PDF.  This only happens in Outlook, all the others Office apps work, such as word and excel.  The PC is running Windows 7 64bit with Office 2013 64bit.

I have tried the following solution with no success:

  • Windows
    1. Go to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\, here you need to rename the folder named "SLStore" to "SLStore_old" or you can use any name of your choice. (Please note: ProgramData is a hidden folder and you may not be able to see it. Make sure the hidden files are visible on your computer, you can follow this link for the same: Show hidden files - Windows Help)
    2. Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache. Delete all the files and folder in this folder. Make sure you don't delete the SLCache itself.

I have also signed out and back in to my adobe account and rebooted the PC.  Again, this only happens with Outlook 2013.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Try launching Distiller and leave that idle for some time and check if you get any prompt to license this application.

Also, leaving Acrobat/Distiller closed. Go to this location C:\Users\USER Name\AppData\Local\Temp rename amt3.log.

Launch Acrobat and distiller and then close after a minute or two. Copy the newly created amt3.log file from the above-mentioned location.

Send it over using Google Drive, dropbox of Adobe Send.

Regards,

Tariq Dar.
