scanner native interface opens below the maximized acrobat window

Windows 7, Using Acrobat Pro XI, 11.0.16: Open acrobat > maximize acrobat window > Create PDF from Scanner > Custom Scan > Scan  At this time the scanner native interface window opens, but is concealed below the maximized acrobat window. The acrobat window can not be minimized. So you are stuck.

This issue is already been resolved in latest Acrobat DC. Can you please try latest Acrobat DC trial version once.
