I just bought a new computer and reinstalled all my programs from scratch. I am using a Mac OS 10.11.3 (El Capitan).
I have Adobe Acrobat X Pro
I installed my printer/scanner driver (Brother MFC-9970) and have no problem printing or scanning from the computer drivers. However, when I go to Scan from within Acrobat, I get the following error message:
"Error while interacting with the scanner: the selected scanner was not found"
Had no problems on my previous Mac. Please help! I have downloaded and reinstalled the driver, but to no avail. In the Scan options - the Scanner is listed as "Brother TWAIN"
Help!

Hi wonderear ,
Follow this thread to reset the preferences for the Acrobat software :- How to reset Preference settings in Acrobat.
Please check with the scanner connecting it locally to the system if it is connected over a network
Also refer to these KB article :- Troubleshoot scanner issues in Adobe Acrobat

Let me know if it works.

Hi ,
Considering the tech specs of Acrobat X ,acrobat X was not tested with Mac OS 10.11 .There is a possibility that drivers of your scanner may not be compatible with the OS X configuration you have.Since Acrobat X is now declared as end of support and there will be no more enhancement for Acrobat X.
You can check this link for more info : Adobe Acrobat system requirements .
Thanks
Shivam
