What is the best way to speed up OCR in "editable text and images" mode (formerly "clearscan", I believe): get a processor with more cores or higher GHz? Or can this be done on GPU now?

As of now Acrobat is single threaded application. So adding a processor with multiple cores won't effect OCR performance much.

But you can improve it a little by different means. Can you please share following information:

- Resolution of files you used to run OCR on(if it's <= 200 DPI, a preference change can improve the performance with a little Quality compromise)

- Is their any specific reason to use editable text and images (as Searchable Image or Searchable Image Exact has better performance)
