When I try to use Acrobat 9 Pro, I get an error message and cannot procede. "Suite Product Activation Needed Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another component of this suite (such as Adobe Photoshop)." Opening Photoshop CS4 does not help as mentioned it should. The only temporary solution is to uninstall all of CS4 and reinstall using my license. Is there a known solution? The previous answer was to buy a new version of Acrobat.

It says acrobat pro 9- same as what I downloaded from my CS4 installation CD. This problem has been going on since I "upgraded" to Windows 10. It tried reinstalling it, I could access acrobat that same day, but next day same error code. Couple of months later reinstalled again but didn't work at all. I get the same error code when I try to open the photo editing tool from Bridge.

uninstall everything cs4 after securing your cs4 serial number
uninstall your acrobat if it's still installed after securing its serial number, in case it's different
look at your programs x86/adobe and programs/adobe subfolders to see if there's anything that's not cs4.
clean per Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems
clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
reinstall your suite and acrobat using your installation files and activat using your serial number.

I ran both cleaners, and it seems to work. But as I have stated earlier, I had previously uninstalled and reinstalled to have acrobat to have it work once but then not.
So, thank you for your help, I hope it stays working!!!

you're welcome.
p.s. if it stops working, you have something (eg, av) on your computer that's removing a needed file or files.

Things were working so well, then today it happened again (almost made it a month)! You said that I might be having something like av on my computer, how do I know what it is that is doing it? Back when before the upgrade to windows 10 I was using the same security software and wasn't having any problems. That said, Norton did have me restart my computer today.

add acrobat to your norton safe list and see if that helps.
i don't know any way, other than trial and error, to find the culprit.
