Text Box issues in Adobe Reader, comment feilds been done in Adobe Acrobat

Hi,

I am having trouble with my clients templates.

I organise invitation templates in Adobe Acrobat, setup comment fields of the invitation details. The the clients can open them in adobe reader and press either "ctrl e" or "cmmd e" to bring up the text properties and edit the fields to what they want.

Everything was going fine for six months now issues.

All of a sudden since the new year hit, I am having (some) not all clients say they cannot edit the text boxes correctly. I have tried opening them and checking them on 3 different computers (mac book air/mac/pc) and all have been fine for me.

For some reason the text box is turning red, with red dots around the text and aligning the text incorrectly to what I had originally setup for them. Even some times the font is completely changing (even though the font has been embeded).

Clients are saying that when they print it is even printing out the red text box dots and all the text in red as well as incorrect fonts.

I have also asked my clients to make sure they have the latest adobe reader installed on their computer and the restart the computer once installed and try opening it again. Unfortunately it is still having issues.

Why is this happening? HELP.
