Hi There,
So background, I have a client that used the form tool to create text fields all through a document so their clients could fill out and send it back to them. The issue is though, they have some text fields that are not showing up when they open the file, it still contains the data, but will not show when they view it.
I have read up on the issue where people fill out the form on a Mac in Preview, but that was not the case, as well, the text fields do not show up when you hover the mouse over where the text field should be. Yet the text fields show up when the file is viewed on another computer, thinking this was an issue with the Reader, I uninstalled and re-installed and still no luck.
Any ideas?

Hi HeathRawtech
Could you please let us know the dot version of Adobe Reader and OS you are using.
Also share the exact steps you do to create the form fields.
If possible, please share the form with us so we can check it on our end.
Please check the private message for email details to send the file.
Regards,
Meenakshi

Hi.
It looks like that your form as already been used and saved with Apple-Preview.
In this case you can find some tools around here to fix the form, here is one: Introducing the Practical:PDF Fix Form Utility | The Practical:PDF Blog

I'm well aware of the Apple Preview issue, but this is not the case as it's affecting several files and none of them have ever even been opened on a Mac

Hello,
If you remember the location of the field try to click on the field and check if you are able to type.
Also, Launch Acrobat/Reader > Click on Edit > Preferences > Forms > Highlight Color > Check "Show Border hover color for fields."
Close Acrobat/Reader and launch again and try.
If that doesn't work, would it possible for you to share a sample file exhibiting the same behavior?
Regards,
Tariq Dar.
