Text is not highlighting until mouse up

This has become and issue for several of our users since converting to El Capitan v 10.11.3 while using Acrobat DC. Prior to this OS update, you could select any of the annotation tools, drag over the copy that you wanted to annotate, and that text would highlight in blue so that you could see exactly which text you were selecting prior to the final mouse up. You could even perform this selection first, and then click the proper tool to perform your edit. With the new OS, no text is ever highlighted prior to mouse up so it is a guessing game on whether or not you have selected exactly right until you are completely finished. This causes you to have to go back and re-do your annotation if you did not select correctly. It's not the largest issue ever; but it is quite annoying on longer documents or smaller text.

It actually seems like this is the case for all tools. There is no "live draw" like there used to be. Does anyone know if this is a preference? Can it be fixed or changed?! Is it on a known bug list for fixing?
