Using Acrobat 11.0.14.

Using Windows 7.

Using Interactive Objects to set-up a multiple page function button (go back to 1st page).

Function button initially had text "go back to 1st page."

Also clicked on set as default.

After saving PDF and then opening this file, there is a color square which, when clicked, PDF goes back to first page.

However, in all the applicable pages, there is no text displayed (in that colored box).

Have tried different color combinations but still not able to display text.

Sometimes people confuse the field name or tooltip text with the button label, which as Bernd hinted at, is accessed via the Options tab.

InDesign doesn't allow you to set the label property for a button. It can add text to a button appearance as you've discovered, but that's not the same as the button label.

I'm having the same problem also. When I create the button in the PDF it initially shows the 'Read More' text. Once I save and re-open, all I see is the button but no text. There's a gray box with a white border as specified and the link itself works. See attached for my button text settings.

UPDATE: My workaround was to create the button within the document in InDesign. Initially it did the same thing as above when I created the button and dragged a text layer about it. I had to change the button setting to text box and at least now the text shows. However, if users don't have a source application to work with and are relying on Acrobat to allow them to use this feature, it is a bit of a problem. 😐

This discussion is about "TEXT NOT DISPLAYED IN INTERACTIVE BUTTON AFTER SAVING PDF" Grace. I don't think I understand how your question is connected to the subject, to the Acrobat SDK product.
