After a computer crash I lost my installation of Acrobat X (PC installation). Adobe registered my original purchase and I have retrieved my serial number. After downloading and reinstalling Acrobat X on the same PC, the programme will not accept the serial number, so I am running as a trial version. I suspect the problem arises because I was not able to deactivate the previous installation.
No telephone support from Adobe for Acrobat X (v. disappointing) so can anyone help - thanks?
if there's an activation problem, you'll see an excess activation count error.
if you see an serial number not valid message, that's a different problem often caused by using the wrong number or the wrong installation file. eg, if your serial number is for acrobat x std, using acrobat x pro installation file will fail.

Download and installation help for Adobe links
Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages. They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3. If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.
