Unable to choose properties when editing multiple form fields?

New Here ,
Jan 28, 2016 Jan 28, 2016

I'm using the trial version of Acrobat. I was previously able to select all form fields and then choose properties to edit them all together. Now this function is not available - the text is grey.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi iamkmcb,

Would like to inform you that its not possible in Acrobat Pro DC to select the all form fields & edit them all together.Once you select the multiple fields,on opening the properties it will only give the properties window for one field only which you may edit.

Regards,

Yatharth

Hi Yatharth

Thanks for your reply.

However, I’ve been able to do it in the past. Is this a recent change to the software? Or perhaps because I was using an older operating system?

Also, the adobe help website says that it is possible. See link:

https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-properties.html <https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-form-field-properties.html>

I have forms with 100+ fields and it would take an enormous amount of time to change properties one field at a time.

I am planning to buy this software today, but will reconsider if I can’t edit multiple fields.

Thanks

Karen

Hi,

Please let me know which properties attribute you are trying to edit on selecting multiple fields.

Hi Yatharh

I'm editing text fields in a form. I want to set the font size in the appearance tab, also change various items in the options tab.

If I right click on a single text field then I get the full edit menu. 'Properties' is at the top of that list.

If I select all, then right click I get a much smaller menu, 'properties' is at the bottom of the list, but greyed out.

Previously, when I selected all, then right clicked, I got the full edit menu. Then when I chose Properties I was able to amend the text size for all fields, for example.

Thanks

Karen
