Update hanging: Adobe Acrobat 11.0.15

New Here ,
Apr 07, 2016 Apr 07, 2016

When I click to install the update Adobe Acrobat 11.0.15 (I'm working on an iMac, late 2009), the download goes through just fine, and I get to the "Installing update" bar which loads all the way to the end and then hangs, with the little arrows on the Adobe Acrobat Update icon going round and round for hours and hours until I do a "Force Quit." I've restarted the machine and tried it again. No luck. What should I do?

If the answer is de-install and re-install, is Adobe Acrobat something I can de-install by simply dragging the Applications icon to the trash, or do I have to be more careful about it? (I have learned from experience that not all apps can be de-installed by simply dragging the icon to the trash.)

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Daniel Mufson,

Please try to uninstall Acrobat. Yes you can simply drag the file from applicatoin folder to trash.

Then re-install the application from here: Download Pro or Standard versions of Acrobat DC, XI, or X

Let us know if you experience any issue.

Regards,

Meenakshi
