Use Scanner Interface grayed out

Does anyone know how I might permanently change the settings on a scanner interface? I am on a Windows 7 PC desktop.

When I select File>Create>pdf from scanner>Custom Scan, then select the Options button next to the scanner, the User Interface is grayed out. I really want to permanently change the default settings - the dpi, the color, the paper size, etc. Is there any other way to do this in Acrobat DC?

Thanks.

Hi,

I am expecting you are scanning with WIA drivers of scanner. Scanner interface option will always remains disable for WIA drivers.

If you want to enable this option, you can download the TWAIN drivers of the scanner, from scanner's company site. For TWAIN drivers all these options are default enabled and you can set any value for DPI, color and papersize.

You are correct - we are using the WIA driver. So when it does show the interface, there is no way to set the defaults - we have to redo it every time. I'll look to see if there is a TWAN driver for our printer. Thanks.
