Hi,
I am wondering if there is a way for me to export word to PDF without distorting the images, or at least improve the image quality so it doesn't come out really blurry.
I am on Word 2013 and I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro.
I have done the following settings in my machine
Step 1: Stop Word from compressing images
Step 2: Ensure maximum image quality while saving in Word
Step 3: Set Word's Acrobat settings to save images in high quality
here is a link to the procedure for those: Word to PDF Image Improvement: Preserve image quality when saving from Word to PDF
The only diff is for step 3, when i went to Word file>Acrobat Tab> preferences option>Settings tab>Advanced Settings>Images.... I set all Color Images, Grayscale images and Monochrome images to Bicubic Downsampling (Color and Grayscale at Bicubic, 300 and 450 pixesl/inch respectively, while Monochrome is 1200 and 1800 pixels/inch)
I also tried coverting the word file to PDF via the following methods
1. From word>Save As PDF
2. From word>Acrobat Tab>Create PDF
3. From Acrobat Pro>File menu> Create>PDF from File
The images still come out blurry, especially for screenshots (image files mostly in JPG and PNG). I've tried switching the images to both output types JPG and PNG when I did some testing but there is very little difference, barely noticeable improvement in image quality.
Hope someone can help me out.
Thanks a lot,
Angel

Hi ,
What OS do you work on?
Please check if Acrobat is updated to the latest patch.
Also if on Windows, try to repair it once and see if that helps.

Hi Sukrit,
I am on Windows Server 2012 Standard.
I have tried your suggestions and made sure to update Acrobat to the latest patch and is now on version 11.0.14. I have also repaired the software. After performing those, I have recreated a PDF sample of the my word file and the images still appear blurry just like before. Any more suggestions?
Thank you for the tips though, really appreciate all the help and tips I can get.
