Hello everyone,

the documentation of Acrobat SDK states "The only requirement for using the OLE objects made available by Acrobat DC is to have the product installed on your system".

Which Version of Acrobat do I need to use those OLE objects (Acrobat Standard DC or Acrobat Pro DC)?

Are there any differences between those two regarding the SDK features?

Both Standard and Pro offer OLE.

There are feature differences, for example you can use JavaScript to run preflight profiles; these do not exist in Acrobat Standard.

What is your specific need? (Bear in mind it is for personal interactive use only, server or background use will fail).

Thank you for your quick reply.

Our need is to integrate a PDF viewer into a third party application (SAP) using OLE (or ActiveX).

We would like to have broad control over the viewer (e. g. disable printing, exporting).

Do you know any source where I can see the differences between Standard and Pro Version regarding the SDK possibilities?
