While working with OCR in Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional on a windows 7 professional workstation it sometimes stops responding when an email is recieved or trying to access a folder location.

Acrobat's OCR operation is rather resource intensive. Best to "turn off" all the other stuff while doing it.
