LOL. I understand. It takes some getting used to. It took me months to convert. But I still use my old versions of Acrobat every day, for things that DC just can't do. I even wrote a blog article about why I run four different versions of Acrobat. Why I Run Four Different Versions of Acrobat

But hang in there, it'll get better. I think it's important to note that you can customize the tool shortcuts so that you don't have to go digging around for the one you want.

And initially, I thought the Search Tools function was totally ludicrous. Why din't they just organize the tools in such a way that we don't have to search for them?! But then after I started using it, it started to grow on me. As you type the function you're looking for, Acrobat filters out the tools that don't apply. So here I typed "hair," and it just displayed "Print Production." So even if you don't remember where a specific tool is hiding, you can easily find it. There's no more opening and closing of all the different panels manually searching what the tool you need.

I still wish Adobe would have left all the main tabs (Home, Tools, Document) in the top right, as they used to be, as opposed to the top left. But oh well. I got a new computer a few months ago and went to great lengths to reinstall all my old versions of Acrobat, all the way back to Acrobat 9. Hopefully you still have access to the old versions. But I promise, the more you use DC, the be easier it will get. I was one of Acrobat DC's biggest critics, but I am coming around.

Hey thank you for the great response! I'm unfortunately using the awkward Creative Cloud tool, and ignorantly allowed it to update from Acrobat X (which trashes it in the process). Now I'm stuck with this abomination. HEY! Time Machine! yeah!

Yes, there was a deal deal of outrage when Creative Cloud automatically uninstalled older version of Acrobat. Here is an article explaining how you can keep your old versions when installing the new version. Adobe Acrobat DC uninstalled Acrobat XI | How to get Acrobat XI back

I've been trying to use it for months and it's still unnatural. When I've got work to do and no time to waste fighting Acrobat DC, I just use my old machine that still has Acrobat 9 installed.
