I have a problem on windows server 2008 that is not appearing on windows server 2003 and 2012. Though I dont think the problem appears because of the specific system, but different configuration ( fonts, etc).
I have a word document prepared in Arial font.
I try to print it to Adobe PDF with Standard settings and with "Rely on system fonts only;do not use document fonts" setting checked. I would prefer to leave it checked because I also have other documents with Asian languages and from what I read it should be check in those cases.
The document I receive lists Arial-BoldMT, Arial-ItalicMT and ArialMT (all not embedded) instead of just plain Arial, Arial,Bold and Arial,Italic.
It changes some special character, like … to Ñ.
Why is that happening on one system and on the others it prints to pdf perfectly fine with the same Adobe PDF settings?
