Why is my email connected to my digital signature?

I use different email accounts (professional, personal. etc.) for different uses. Since the email is shown in the signature box, do I need to have different signatures for different uses?

Refer to this page here on how to create a digital signature: Creating Digital Signatures > Adding Signatures and Security in Adobe Acrobat 9

Under "Creating Digital IDs" it mentions that one of the fields is the email address and it is likely you entered one of your email addresses in this field. Hence anytime you use the particular digital signature the email you entered becomes associated with it.

You can edit the digital signature to use another email address if you like, however the easy solution is to create multiple digital signatures and associating one email address for one type of digital signature (professional, personal, etc.).
