Why won't my linked PDF files open on other computers?

I've linked multiple PDF files within one PDF file, when I send it to someone in the office, the links won't open for them. I thought it may be that the end user has "Acrobat Reader" only but that isn't the case.

What kind of links? Are the files on a server?

They are document links and the documents are on my desktop.

In this case sent also the linked documents.
