Word 2013 conversion to Adobe DC (2015) failing

New Here ,

I am working in Word 2013 and Adobe DC 15.  When I try to add the word pdf maker, C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 2015\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMWord.dll, I get an error message. That this is not a valid word office add in.  Then I added the PDFMOfficeAddin.dll.  This add in starts to work and then stops running.  When I reopen Word the addin is disabled.  I have pre-set my preferences for producing bookmarks in the PDF file.  When I go to publish to PDF, I clicked the Options button and I have to deselect the convert Word Styles to Bookmarks check box.  Sometimes the PDF is published and then when I try again the PDF maker stops responding.

What is the purpose of the options button and the pre-selected Options?
