Would like to print to .pdf file, only option is for .ps

Like the title says.  I have Acrobat pro 9, when I go to print to file, I put Acrobat PDF as the printer, check print for file and it defaults to .ps.  Choose file type drag-down below the name field only gives the "all files" option.  I messed around with the settings, but can't get any meaningful change in behavior.  Thoughts?
