Acrobat Distiller 2017 - PDF to Word conversion produces unreadable text

when i convert a pdf to word the information in the new word file is made up of less than a quarter of the words in the pdf and some lines from the pdf. Any thoughts? I noticed that the pdf doc properties has the creator listed as "GPL Ghostscript 8.5". In other pdf files i convert to word the creator is Adobe Distiller....

Hi,

completely off topic but is there an api to convert pdf to excel. I have hundreds of pdf's which need to be converted to excel and I can't do it manually. I have asked the question but no answer yet. Any help is greatly appreciated.
