Possible? Not possible?
I followed the tutorial here... https://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-to-build-a-button-that-creates-a-new-page
I have read all the current discussions I can find on this...
From what I understand—using a template and calling it with this simple little script
var a = this.getTemplate("Add Page"); a.spawn();
should work in Reader DC. But its not.
I get a JS error NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method. Template.spawn:2:Field Button4:Mouse Down
It should work... Are you sure you're using Reader DC? Is the file protected or digitally signed, or something like that?
I'm saving it out of Acrobat PRO DC as > Reader Extended PDF - It has form fields
In what version of Reader are you opening it, though?
You don't need to Reader-Extend it.
THANK YOU! I had no idea that you didn't have to save Pro as Reader!!!!!
No, Reader XI and higher don't need these rights, and it won't work in earlier versions, anyway.
