Looking at applying a currency format to a field in a PDF form. That is, the symbol ($) is displayed at the front and if there are cents then it would be 65% of the font size and superscript.

Need to create field in PDF Form and then using WebMerge to generate print-ready files.

Can this be done? And if so, How?

This is the extent of formatting that can be applied to a text field in InDesign. You cannot add any currency formatting within InDesign.)

Here is the same field in Acrobat Pro. You can specify a currency symbol, decimal places and separator style in the PDF.

If you can superscript the currency symbols, it will be via scripting in Acrobat. It not an option within the feature set. That will be a question for the JavaScript in Acrobat forum JavaScript .

Thank you Barb,

Unfortunately I do not know Javascript and will have to search for a developer to help with it. Is this something you can program? I do not mind covering the cost of time. Let me know.

There may be Acrobat Javascript peogrammers who are available but you should ask in the Acrobat PDF Forms forum:

It sounds like it might be simpler to have the $ sign separately, not as part of the field. Then have 2 fields, one for the dollar sum, one, smaller for the cents. Would that work?
