I have created a form in acrobat. However, I don't want the .pdf document to be saved over the original form after it is filled in; so when the user saves the form, the "Save As" browser appears. Once I get that working, how do I enable the new document that was saved based off of the fillable form to not retain the 'Force Save As' language, and act normal when I go back and edit it?
I basically want the .pdf form to act like a .dot file (template) in Word
Right-clic on your PDF icon : select Properties (or "Get Info" on MacOS)
Then tick the "Template*" or "Model*" checkbox.

About the best you can do is make the file read-only in the file system. When you open such a file and SaveAs, the new file won't be read-only unless the directory it's saved to is read-only.
