Hello All,

Compiled Acrobat DC SDK, examples, it compiled and build with .api plugins. I copied those plugins to

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins folder. But it;s unable to open and even manually for reader DC (attach ).

I installed Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2015 release, Version 2015.020.20042.

From Help ->About Adobe Plugins, this window is not displaying third party .api

How to open third party .api

Thank You,

Answers Appreciated

Perhaps you are missing the basic difference between Acrobat and Reader. As a developer you WILL need Acrobat. And nothing "opens" API files.

Your telling to open using

adobe acrobat  or  adobe acrobat reader?

Reader can do just that: Read PDF files and perform some very basic tasks like allow the user to fill in form fields etc

Acrobat can be used to create PDF files from other formats, edit them in various ways, add form fields, security settings, etc.

On my PC Acrobat Reader DC is installed,

Can't i open on both?

There is a screen shot in your first message. This shows
(1) you are using Acrobat Reader. DO NOT.
(2) you are trying to open .api files. DO NOT.

There is a screen shot in your reply 5. This shows you
are STILL using Acrobat Reader. It says so, clearly at the
top of the screen shot. DO NOT DO THIS.

There are no other screen shots. None of them show Adobe
Acrobat.

If you do not understand the difference between Adobe Acrobat
and Adobe Acrobat Reader PLEASE SAY SO.

No. The .api file is a DLL file on Windows. The file will be loaded by Adobe Acrobat on startup.
