Hi, this forum is for questions related to Acrobat Services, not Firefly. I'll answer as best I can anyway, but for future reference know that this is not where you would ask questions. As far as I know, there aren't forums yet for Firefly Services. 

Anyway, yes, you CAN upload an image to the Firefly websdite to use as a reference. It's private to you. The APIs support it as well.
