PDF Embed API - insert image?

Is it possible to insert an image into a PDF using the PDF Embed API?

For example if a form requires a picture of the user to be added, can we add that? Doesn't seem that far off from free hand scibble annotation, but can't seem to find anything in documentation...

No. However, you can create an Adobe Sign Web Form that displays in HTML similar to how Embed API does and it allows for image fields.
