Upload to documentcould via API/SDK

I'd like to upload to the Adobe documentcloud from the command line, i.e. via the API (if there is one). Are there any examples?

I have the impression that the API is defined in terms of a web protocol. You would need to write an app (or use a suitable command line) to connect to Adobe's servers and issue a web command. I may be wrong.
