Hi,

Which version of macOS and which version of Adobe Acrobat are you using?

Also which version of CUPS is running in that mac?

Are all the products updated to reflect their current licensing verions?

Thank you.

Did the problem started happening after an upgrade to mac 10.14.16? or is that a brand new computer?

It seems that Brother has a scheduled update in early October for that printer. I am just reading about the current driver and it supports up to macOS v10.15.x which is available for download. It has its own version of CUPS printer dirver. see here: https://support.brother.com/g/s/id/os/macintosh.html#info Also, latest version of CUPS herre: https://www.cups.org/index.html which was released in late August 2019. My first approach would be how familiarized are you configuring CUPS printer driver settings?

See here for instructions on how to access your CUPS printing server via Web GUI

https://help.gettimely.com/article/478-how-to-enabled-cups-web-interface

type in the URL bar of your browser http://localhost:631/admin   and refer to this quick video on how to install and configure yourr new Brother printer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ve_SBkjbT8g

There is a part in the short video that specifies to select "Generic Postscript Printer Driver" select that option and soon after that do a Print Test Page and see if it comes out fuzzy.

Hi again and thanks for your assistance. I did as you suggested and all printing is the same as it appears on the screen with in any APP. Sorry I have been a bit misleading, its when I scan from within Adobe DC, all scans are fuzzy. If I scan within the Brother App they are Cristal clear. I hope this clarifies my issue?

Thanks for that, I found that site and it doesn't have a ICA scanner driver by either network or USB. I would assume that this driver must be a park of the CUPS group of drivers?

It is a component of the Brother printer and part of the different applications that can be accessed via CUPS. Uou need to download that CUPS driver from here: https://support.brother.com/g/b/countrytop.aspx?c=us〈=en and check this page out: https://support.brother.com/g/s/id/htmldoc/mfc/mfc-5895cw/encee/html/sug/chapter10_2.html

OK, thanks for clarifying.

Are you saying that when you create a PDF document with Acrobat, after it is Saved As a PDF file,  when you print it, the result is fuzzy??
