2D Barcode pasting in black and red

I'm having an issue with placing a barcode into a pdf document. I created the barcode in BarTender Software program and it appears black and white. When I export it into the pdf document it pastes red and black. I asked a co-worker to export the same barcode and paste it into the same pdf document and when  he does it, it comes in black and white.
