8.3 Stickies crashing

I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Professional Version 8.3. I can highlight and save, no problem, however when I highlight and create a stickie in order to provide feedback, when I hit save, it crashes. EVERY. TIME. This just started this weekend. Help!

This is an EXTREMELY old version of Acrobat. Do you also have a very old operating system? If not, problems are to be expected with it.

Yes, I know. I am currently working from Mac OS High Sierra, Version
10.13.2 It's for work, so I'd need permission to update the OS if needed to
be compatible with the most current version of Professional.

That's definitely not compatible with Acrobat 8. I'm surprised it's working at all!
