a particular PDF freezes/lags

I have tried the following, both of which I believe have worked in the past, but not this time:
• split the document (error message appears: ≈"array expected"; split does not occur)
• reduce the file size (freezing still occurs on smaller file)

We are sorry for the trouble. As described, you are experiencing issue with a particular PDF which freeze and lags when you try to split or reduce the file size.

As it is a file specific issue, there isn't much that we can do. However, we would like to have a look at the file. Please share the PDF with us so that we can check it at our end. Please upload the file to the document cloud https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/ , generate the link and share it with us.

Also, please share the screenshot of the error message for a better understanding. what is the version of the Acrobat DC and the OS you are using?
