Adobe Acrobat 9.0 that I have been using suddenly stopped working today! I got an error message citing license has expired! Can someone suggest what (if anything), I can do to get my functionality back. Thanks for your support.

Hi Sankarshanana

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat 9 has stopped working

Acrobat 9 is an old and EOL application and no longer available. As stated in the Adobe Support Lifecycle Policy, Adobe provides five years of product support, starting from the general availability date of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. In line with this policy, support for Adobe Reader 9.x and Adobe Acrobat 9.x ended on June 26 2013.

End of Support means that Adobe no longer provides technical support or distribute runtimes. This policy affects product and security updates for all derivatives of a product or product version (localized versions, minor upgrades, operating systems, dot and double-dot releases, and connector products).

Adobe strongly recommends that customers update to the latest versions of Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat. By updating installations to the latest versions, customers benefit from the latest functional enhancements and improved security measures.

Regards

Amal

Try to: disconnect the computer, set back the date, launch Acrobat and if it works reconnect the computer and perform all Acrobat updates to the latest available version (9.5.5).
(Help menu : Check updates)

Thank you JR! The file now opens and remains w/o shutting down. Hopefully this remains. 🙂

I am unable to 'update' however from my current v9.0. Checked for updates (under Updates in App store), but my Mac says "no updates available". So I am still on same version.

Forget "Check Updates". Get them directly from here: ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/mac/9.x/

LATEST

The "Check updates" of Acrobat 9 worked fine for me in march 2020, so I guess it's still available.

It's easier than downloading and patching several successive versions.
