On Windows, when I try to save as a .pdf, acrobac DC only sales in a generic "file" format, and not as a pdf. When I try to remedy via printing the doucment as a pdf, the same result occurs....

Hi Jimmyg,

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat DC doesn't save the file as .pdf

Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC is the application used to view, read, annotate and sign the PDF files. For more information please check the help pages listed below:

- What is the workflow/steps you are doing to save the file as .pdf and in which generic format does the file gets saved?

- Would you mind sharing a video recording of the issue for a better understanding?

Please try to repair the installation of Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC and reboot the computer once. Go to Help > Repair Installation and see if that works. Also, make sure you have the latest version installed. Go to Help > Check for Updates.

We are here for help, just need more information.

Regards

Amal
