Acrobat opens window, closes window, openswindow,closes window and so on

I just recently installed Acrobat and i cant use it, because when i open it and try to open a document it seemingly tries to open non-existing documents automatically or so. It opens a window which loads for a few seconds an then closes itself again, this continues forever. I dont know what to do.
