Acrobat Pro 2017 suddenly stopped opening

I hope someone can help...out to the blue, acrobat pro 2017 won't launch nor will it open a PDF. I have tried removing the preferences file, uninstalling and re-installing the application, and still nothing. Can someone please advise on how to address this issue??

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the Acrobat Pro 2017 is not launching nor opening any PDF file.

 

Do you get any error message when you try to launch the application or open any PDF file? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.

 

What is the version of the application you are using? To check the version please take help from the article https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/identify-product-version.html

 

As you have already tried removing the preferences file and uninstalling and reinstalling the application with no success, please try creating a new test user profile with full admin rights in Windows or enable root account in Mac and try using the application there and check.

 

If it still doesn't work please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html  , reboot the computer once and reinstall the application using the link https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/acrobat-downloads.html
