I just installed Acrobat Pro 2020, upgrading from Acrobat Standard XI. Every single time I try to open the software it crashes. Whether I try to open the software by itself, or am double-clicking a PDF file in Windows Explorer, either way it crashes in one second. I don't even have time to go into preferences to try and change any settings. What can I do so this software works as it should?
Hopefully, you uninstalled Acrobat Standard 11 first. If you haven't, uninstall both Acrobat Standard 11 and Acrobat Pro 2020. Reboot and then re-install Acrobat Pro 2020. Contrary to what some may think, you really cannot have parallel installations of either two versions of Acrobat or Acrobat and Reader.
