When combining PDF's, I have a large number of PDF's that are in a folder, in the order that I want them to be in the combined document.  If I select the whole batch and drop them into the combine window, instead of maintaining my order sequence, it alphabetizes them.  Is there any way to stop it from re-ordering, so I don't have to drag the files in one at a time?

No, unfortunately, but you can sort them by Modified Date or Size in that dialog. If you're using a different order then I would suggest exporting the desired order to a text file (this can be done using the "dir" command, for example), and then using a script to read the file and combine the PDF files in that order.

I've developed such a (paid-for) tool, if you're interested, and it's available here: http://try67.blogspot.com/2009/10/combine-pdf-files-from-text-list.html
