So I just got a new iMac, 2020 27" i7-8 Core, 32Gn RAM, 2Tb SSD, Radeon Pto 5700XT

Installed Acrobat Pro DC from my subscription.  When I have a PDF open and scroll a few pages it is incredibly slow to redraw the page.  10 to 15 seconds.  This does not seem right to me, coming from a much less powerful pc (i3 6300. 8Gb RAM, Radeom R5 340X) I didn't have this issue with the same PDF.

Ut feels like it is software rendering the PDF instead of useing anything like OpenGL / Metal.  Is there a setting I may need to enbale?

Hi there,

We are sorry for the trouble. As described the application is slow after scrolling few pages.

We need some more information for a better understanding:

1. Would you mind sharing the version of the Adobe Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Adobe and make sure you have the latest version 20.12.20043 installed from the help menu > check for updates.

2. What is the version of the Mac OS you are using?

3. Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive, please download the PDF to your computer locally and then try to open and check.

Also, If you are connected to a company network, please try to switch to a different network (Mobile, Hotspot, Wifi) and see if that makes any difference.

If it still doesn't work, you may also try to reset the preferences to default as desribed here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-default/td-p/4792...

For testing purposes: Please try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in Mac and try using the application there and see if that works fine.

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
