Acrobat Pro XI using the wrong print tray?

Every time I print pdf files it selects the wrong print tray on my printer.  Adobe is the only program on my computer that does this.  I'm using Windows 10 Home version with an HP Officejet Pro 8740 printer.  Each time I start to print, I have to stop and manually select the correct tray in the print settings.  Is there a way to fix this, it's really annoying.

Please post a screenshot of your Acrobat print dialogue.

Please post also a screenshot of your printer settings and the page setup!

Here are some screenshots, if I leave the print source set to automatically select, it uses tray 1 when it should use tray 2.  As I mentioned, I don't have this problem with other programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

The problem is probably in your first screenshot. Do not use “choose paper source by PDF page size”.

That did it.  I had not noticed that checkbox before.

I probably never used that feature. I can imagine situations where this option is useful, but for the general user, this option should always be switched off.
