My Acrobat Reader fails to save the highlights I put into a lengthy PDF file; so I cannot switch off my laptop (Windows 10) until I have found a solution.
When I select Save or Save as, a blank window with "Save as" appears and nothing further happens (even over night); nothing can be typed into that window and I can't return to the file before closing that "Save as" window. This happens also with other files that I have tested.
The file is not marked as "Read only". Toggling this feature does not solve the problem.
This problem has occurred once before last year, but after a few days I could save again.
Any assistance please?

Hi Wilfridh,
As you get the blank save as window, please try the steps provided below:
- In the application, go to Edit > Preferences > General
- Uncheck the box for "Show online storage when saving the files"
- Click OK at the bottom of the preferences window.
Now try to save the PDF.

Yes, that worked for me, but now I have a problem with the "Share" feature - Share pane just goes blank, can't share. This also occurs for "Send for Review".

Hi there.
I'm having the same issue with share for review showing a blank white box.
I can't seem to find a fix anywhere - but if this is a duplicate please let me know.
Is there a fix for this?
I am using a mac mini M1 - Acrobat Pro DC - full CC subscription.
