acrobat version 9 pro

After an uninstall and reinstall of Acrobat version 9 the delete function under the edit menu is greyed out.  I'm running Windows 10 OS.

Please advise

It's probably not applicable to the current tool. It's only available sometimes.

What do you want to delete and what tool is selected?
